AND NOTHINGNESS

All WP sites come with certain defaults. For example, the CATEGORY “Uncategorized” is the default category. Why not General? So for fun I renamed that category Being and Nothingness. Which I did once (ok five times at least) attempt to read. Once, in French (I’m an anglo and pretty much bilingual but reading a philosophical tome like this which is already dense…).

Sartre was a bit of a downer. I think Simone de Beauvoir was underrated and/or eclipsed by him. Did he deserve her devotion? Or who knows, maybe she had as many affairs as he. (Allegedly)
